2025-04-07: Avian Science Notes, April, Vol 1

Have you and your team members registered for the State Qualifier?

How: all the links are on Avian Science Notes, March, Vol. 1 issue

Why:  you will increase your knowledge in Avian Sciences.   You will learn the skills to be part of a successful team.  Such skills will help you throughout life, including as your interact with others in your personal life and eventually in your work life.

Good things happen to Avian Bowlers.  A recent example, former State Champion Avian Bowler, Ashley Porter (Ventura Co.) shared the exciting news that she is a Cooke Transfer Scholar semifinalist.  She wanted others in 4-H to know that the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation offers up to $55,000/yr for 2-3 years to exceptional community college students.  The scholarship allows recipients to transfer to 4-year colleges, obtain a bachelor’s degree, and graduate debt free!

Ashley encourages 4-Hers to check out the Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship, by visiting the website HERE.

To quote Ashley, “With the skills gained through Avian Bowl, there’s no telling where you’ll end up.”
